5 Ways To Show Thanks As A Business Owner

Happy Thanksgiving Week!!!!

Showing thanks as a business owner is super important for a couple of reasons.

  1. It’s good for the soul. Showing gratitude for the people who support you, surround you, and breathe life into your business will help you feel good and will help them feel good too!

  2. Showing gratitude in your business is ALSO important from a strategy standpoint. Let me explain what I mean.

When you show gratitude as a business owner, 3 things happen.

  1. You brighten someone's day who you care about- which should always be the foundational reason for expressing gratitude! Quite honestly, people can see through you like glass when you have other intentions! There are people who want to show up for you and your business and you get to give back some of that good energy by giving them a heartfelt thank you. When you give thanks to the people around you without expectation of receiving something in return, you show your intentions in a way that continues to make people want to support you. This is why it is so important to give with an open heart and to have sincere intentions.

  2. You become top of mind- another added bonus of giving thanks to the people around you is that you jump up to the top of their mind. They begin thinking about you, your business, how you have helped them, and this can mean receiving more referrals, positive testimonials, and collaborations/partnerships. This is also a good reason to thank your VIP’s throughout the year and NOT just around the holidays. When you are thanking someone during Thanksgiving week, it still is a great strategy, but when someone knows that they are appreciated all year round, you really stand out from the crowd.

  3. You build your relationships and network- telling someone that you appreciate them without expecting anything in return is a HUGE relationship builder. It’s a beautiful way to build friendships, relationships, and whether these remain professional friendships and relationships, or you end up with a new client it’s a win win all around.

Here are 5 ways you can show gratitude as a business owner this week and all year around that are sure to have a positive impact on your business.

  1. Send out thank you cards- there is something extra special about a hand written card that really helps you stand out from the crowd. Try to take your gratitude off of the internet and do something tangible, like a thank you card.

  2. Send a gift through Loop & Tie- Loop & Tie is an awesome platform that fits nearly any budget and is extremely simple to use. All you do is sign up and start gifting. This is a great way to show appreciation for your clients, team members, and special supporters!!

  3. Make a general post of gratitude- regardless of the size of your business, how busy you are, or what you have going on in your life, every single business should be at the very least creating a social media post to thank those who are important in your business. It might feel silly, or like it doesn’t matter, but something as simple as tagging a handful of people who have made an impact on your business can make a lasting, positive impact.

  4. Reach out to your current clients- these are the heart of your business! Your current clients are cheering you on, they believe in you, they rely on your services, and without them quite frankly, you wouldn’t have a business. Whether it’s sending some texts, emails, or making a few phone calls this week- reach out to your current clients and let them know just how important they are to you! You will not regret it.

  5. Donate to an organization you believe in! Having gratitude often looks like giving thanks verbally, but this can also be given financially or even with your time. Decide on an organization that means a lot to you and commit to donating some of your time or money this week!

Here’s the thing. The only REAL way you can mess up on giving gratitude in your business is by NOT doing it. So here is your reminder to give thanks to those who have impacted your business & to do it all year round!!!

Your business will thank you, I PROMISE!
